The parents of Boody sixth graders braved the chill winds of January to come to school on two Saturdays to pick up a free computer, software and instruction, courtesy of the city's Connected Learning Initiative. Chancellor Cathleen P. Black came to I.S. 228 for the initial rollout of the program. Boody was chosen to launch the program in New York City for a number of reasons, including our use of technology and our welcoming Parent Engagement Center. It was a great day, with officials from Washington as well as New York enjoying the fun of seeing so many families head home with free computers that will help their students achieve their academic goals.Click here to read the full article on the DOE website.
