Good morning scientists!

In light of the events that have been happening in this country, for today's assignment we are going to take a deeper look into racial injustice and how it affects us everyday.

We cannot keep silent on the issues that the Black community face and neither should you. With the current happenings of police brutality and murders, wrongful convictions, and disproportionate COVID-19 deaths of Black people, it is obvious that individual and systemic racism still exist in our communities. This is what citizens and young people like you are marching for! Today's assignment will focus on deepening our understanding of these issues and we will discuss and process our feelings.

I also encourage you to read, listen to podcasts, and watch films in order to learn more about racial inequality in this country. You are not too young to inspire change!

To our Black students and friends: You are loved and we will never stop fighting to keep you safe.
Black Lives Matter
