The deadline to reserve a spot for our 6th Grade Field Trip is March 10th. As a reminder, we have a total of approximately 300 seats available for the trip. Seats will be filled on a first come, first serve, basis. 

We will be going to iPlay America where students will enjoy a safe, clean and climate controlled environment. iPlay America is a 150,000 square foot indoor amusement park. A team of professional, enthusiastic and well trained staff will assist our students in having fun with unlimited rides, one time laser tag and more. Lunch is included as well as a t-shirt. T-shirts are all in adult sizes.

Time: 8:00AM departure, 4:00 PM arrival (depending on traffic)
Cost: $115 (cash, checks or money orders made out to IS 228)

The PTA will be giving away a free Valentines day raffle to one student from each grade level. Raffle will include a Valentines chocolate heart, Smarties, Plush Toy, and  candy filled bag with lollipops and kisses  Please fill out the following form for your chance to win!  Winner will be announced on google classroom on February 14! One entry per student, raffle entries ends on February 14 at 8 AM!

The PTA will be giving away a free Holiday day raffle to one student from each grade level. Raffle will include a Dunkin Donuts gift card, David A Boody Gym T-Shirt and other goodies.  Please fill out the following form for your chance to win!  Winner will be announced on google classroom on December 23! One entry per student, raffle entries end December 22.      

The stage awaits you! We're looking for singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, rappers, actors, magicians and more! Talent show auditions will be held on November 15th from 2:20-5:15pm. 
All students must sign up using the google form below to audition and complete a permission slip which will be available in the main office.

Wear Blue or the DAB STOP Bullying Shirt on Friday October 21!  STOP Bullying Shirts can be purchased in room 113 for $15 each

Lunch groups will be starting soon! Please complete the attached form if you are interested in participating in an activity during lunch time. We had to fix the form so even if you filled it out previously, you must fill it out again. Please see Ms. Schneider if you have any questions. 

Here  are the options available for lunch activities: 

Lunch Clubs- We are offering a variety of clubs. We will do our best to get everyone that is interested in at least one club. If you do not see something you are interested in, please leave a comment at the end of the google form and let us know what you are interested in
Mentorship in Sports- A program based on sports. You learn to work together with a group of your classmates to complete fun sports activities. 
STOMP: Student Teacher Outreach Mentorship Program. This is a program in which teachers will invite students to join. If you do not get asked to be in this program and are interested please see your Grade Assistant Principal.

Please complete this Summer into 6th Grade assessment to see how much you remember 5th grade math. Answer each question to the best of your ability. If you don't remember how to do something, take your best guess. You will receive a completion grade at the end. When you complete it you automatically get a 100 on your first math assignment.
