After watching these brief videos what can you infer about the relationship between the Allies in the WWII?
1. Yalta Conference was held in Livadia Palace (former summer residence of Russian tsars, now - museum) in the Russian resort city of Yalta (Crimea peninsular) in February 4-11, 1945. Prior to the Yalta Conference, the three leaders met in November 1943 in Tehran, Iran, where they coordinated the next phase of war against Axis powers. When Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin gathered again at Yalta (not in Scotland as Churchill offered, not in the Mediterranean region as Roosevelt suggested, but as Stalin insisted), an Allied victory in Europe was already on the horizon due to the numerous victories of the Red Army. The fate of post-war Germany (zones of occupation/influence), the borders of the postwar Poland (Lvov was given to Ukraine) and the creation of United Nations (UN), its statute, adding Ukraine and Belarus as separate members, creation of the UN Security Council consisting of 5 members (USSR, USA, UK, France and China - Stalin insisted on including China in it), and several others including the USSR obligation to declare war on Japan.
2. Capitulation Act was signed twice. First time hurriedly in May 7, 1945, in Reims at the Eisenhower HQ by a mere general without the authoritative presence of a commander-in-chief. Stalin insisted on signing it again in Berlin from where the war began and in presence of allied Commanders-in-chief. Everyone agreed to sign it officially again. On May 8, 1945, in Karlshorst the official ceremony was held. It ended at 22:43 (Central European time) or 0:43 of May 9, 1945 (Moscow time). The difference in time zones created the difference in the day it is celebrated.
3. The first Victory Parade in Moscow was held only on June 24, 1945, as it required more than a month to prepare new uniforms for the participants of the parade. The soldiers who installed the Flag of Victory over Reichstag, were initially invited to take part in the parade but then Zhukov ordered the Flag to be placed in the museum and Egorov, Kantaria, and other were given tickets to watch the parade instead of marching in it (allegedly due to their wounds they could not keep up with the marching pace.)

Watch the 1st video (only) with English subtitles to learn about the BM-13 "Katyusha" - a secret weapons of Russians that appeared for the first time on the bank of Arshytsa river near the city of Orsha in Belarus, launched all its rockets and immediately changed its location. The battery under the command of Ivan Andreevich Flyorov consisted of only 7 experimental launchers. Germans chased his mobile battery for 3 month trying to catch at least a single weapon in order to solve the secret of its efficiency. Only in autumn of 1941, captain Flyorov was ambushed near Vyazma but following his oath destroyed the launcher and perished with it. Even when later they captured one of the "Katyushas" they were not able to reproduce it because the secret lied in the the special gunpowder.
