Welcome to Week 2 of remote learning. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Here are some notes from last week:
- Please make sure to log in Monday through Thursday and FIRST CHECK IN FOR ATTENDANCE. This is important to help keep record of attendance each day.
- Some students did not spend time on I-Ready last week. Each Monday, you will be working 45 minutes on I-Ready, and I will be checking. If you have extra feel time, you are always welcome to continue to work on I-Ready independently. The lessons are individualized for you and well help raise your reading level.
- When writing your reading responses, it must be at least a paragraph. One sentence is unacceptable.

Based on the poems on pages 42-47, what is the decision Ha's family is trying to make? Is this decision challenging for them? Why or why not?
