*Reconstruction is the name given to the time period after the Civil War. During this time the U.S. government worked to reunite the nation and to rebuild the southern states.
Directions:
1) Read about the amendments that were added to the Constitution after the Civil War.
2) Answer the quiz questions
Remember, an amendment is a change to the Constitution. This mean that the protections you will read about did not exist until after 1865.
