Hello All, as we move towards the end of the year, we are jumping into current events, and lessons that will prepare us for next year and beyond.

Mr. Ades and I are blown away by your thoughtfulness and your emotions around the death of George Floyd and the protests across this country. It is clear that you engaged in these lessons, and are feeling REAL emotions. If you are confused, that is ok. If you are angry, that is ok. If you feel pain, that is ok.

We will continue engaging with this further in the coming weeks, but remember to take care of yourself. Some of the lessons we are learning about are serious, and can be very sad. Some of these lessons might be uncomfortable, and that is ok! Learning about race is like exercising a muscle. You need to do it often to make yourself stronger. Some people in this class might be more familiar than others, or might even be able to relate to these experiences.
