THE FINAL ASSIGNMENT- Friday, June 19, 2020 and Monday, June 22, 2020

Good Morning! I can't help but feel sad to see this year come to a close but at the same time I'm so proud of all of you. You've done an amazing job! As we get closer to graduation, I've decided to do something a little different for your final assignment. We won't be able to finish Unbroken due to lack of time however I will leave it up to you if you want to finish the final few chapters novel. It's an interesting book and it's a shame that there just wasn't enough time to get through the entire book. I do hope you enjoyed reading it though. Therefore, your final assignment will not be about Unbroken after all. Please see my directions below and let me know if you have any questions.

THE FINAL ASSIGNMENT:
Think of one teacher you had this year for any subject (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Phys Ed., Health, Magnet) who really made an impact on you and your learning. This can be the teacher who helped you the most, whose class you thought was the most enjoyable or the teacher you felt made the greatest impact on your understanding. Write that teacher a thank-you note using the space below letting them know how much you appreciate them and what you enjoyed about their class. Take this assignment seriously. While you can write as little or as much as you like (try for at least four sentences) please be sure to not make a joke out of this and to be sincere. I will not share these notes with your classmates, but I would like to share them with the teacher you choose to write to. You should format the note by writing Dear (teacher's name) and then by using complete sentences. Be sure to end your note with a closing such as Sincerely, (your name) or Your Student, (your name) THIS ASSIGNMENT IS DUE MONDAY AT 3PM.

Do you find it to be easier or better than i-Ready? Also, what do you think of the assignments for Unbroken? Are they overwhelming or are they working well? Finally, would you want another live class like we had earlier in the month? What topics should the class go over if we were to all meet virtually? This is not a formal assignment, so spelling and grammar do not count. I just want to hear from you so that I can make the class better and/or more interesting for the next few weeks. Thanks and I can't wait to hear your responses! in Google Classroom

Today's chapters of Unbroken deal with Louie making the trials for the 1936 Olympics.
