Student Placement-
Honors Classes
  • 7th and 8th grade Honors classes were determined by i-Ready ELA scores and the Imagine Math benchmark from the 2020-2021 school year.
  • 6th grade Honors classes were based on the Entrance Exam.
  • As a reminder, Honors classes are reviewed each school year for student eligibility. 
Magnets
Magnet assignments will be given to students on their first day of school. During the first two weeks of magnet, students will be participating an orientation that incorporates social emotional learning and supports students in their transition back to in-person learning.
 
Any questions/concerns regarding placements should be emailed directly to the grade level AP.

Early Morning Drop Off:
We will be offering early morning drop off will be at 7:15am. Students will arrive through the school yard with their ID cards ready to swipe in and proceed down to the cafeteria. 
 
Breakfast
We will begin serving breakfast at 7:30am. Students will arrive through the school yard with their ID cards ready to swipe in and proceed down to the morning line up areas. 
 
Health Screening
Every morning before you come you need to fill out the health screening form.

ID Cards
It is very important that you have your ID card with you every day. You will need it to sign in every morning and swipe for lunch every day. You will receive a new card the first week of school. Once you receive it you must always have it on you. 
 
Device
You are responsible every day to make sure that you have your DOE device(laptop/I-Pad). Under no circumstances can you use a personal laptop. Your number 1 homework every night is to make sure you charge your device every day, so you are ready for learning the next day. 
 
First Day of School
Monday September 13- In Person 
 
School Hours
Doors open at 7:50am sharp.
Students will begin classes at 8am.
Students will dismiss at 2:20pm.
After School Monday-Friday 2:30pm-5:30pm (Begins in October)
 
Morning Arrival:
All students arrive through the West 4th street entrance of the school yard. 
8th Grade- School Yard to Cafeteria
7th Grade- Inner School Yard to back of the Auditorium
6th Grade- Inner School Yard, Auditorium door to 4th Floor Gym
 
 
Afternoon Dismissal:
6th Grade: School Yard (West 4th between Ave S and Ave T)
7th Grade: Front Door (West 5th and Ave S)
8th Grade: Main Entrance (West 4th and Ave S)
If you are yellow bus student, you will be going to the auditorium for dismissal. 
 
Address/Phone Numbers:
All students in middle school should know their own home address and should know at least one adult's phone number in case of an emergency.

Boody School Store: 
If you would like to purchase something, please bring the money to school and Ms. Liberta will come around and get you the items you will like. Laptop sleeves will also be given out this week to students that purchased them during orientation.

Metro Cards:
We will be providing metro cards on the first day for all eligible students.
