ID Cards

It is very important that you have your ID card with you every day. You will need it to sign in every morning and swipe for lunch every day. You will receive a new card the first week of school. Once you receive it you must always have it on you. You will not need it before that.

Device
You are responsible every day to make sure that you have your DOE device(laptop/I-Pad) and your charger. Under no circumstances can you use a personal laptop. Your number 1 homework every night is to make sure you charge your device every day, so you are ready for learning the next day. If you do not have a DOE device, one will be provided tomorrow.

Dismissal:
6th Graders will be dismissing every day from the school yard.
7th Graders will be dismissing from the West 5th Street Front Door.
8th Graders will be dismissing from the Main Entrance.
If you are yellow bus student, you will be going to the auditorium for dismissal.

Magnets:
You will receive your magnet this week when you come to school.

Metro Cards:
We will be providing metro cards on the first day for all eligible students.

After School Programming-
As I know many families are very interested in after school. At this time after school will begin in October. We will have a full program running from 2:30-5:30 with more specifics coming. We will have to follow all of the vaccination rules for "high risk" sports which has recently expanded for students 12 and over. We will do an After School Virtual Orientation in the near future. As of now all students will be dismissed at 2:20 until then.

Absentee Form:
If your child will be absent for this school year we ask that you fill out the absentee form. You do not need to call the school also. We will be using this form all year long. It will be posted on our school website front page.

Let's have an amazing 2021-2022 School Year!
