Dear Parents/Guardians,
As part of the ML/ELL Program at IS228, your child will be taking the NYSESLAT exam beginning the week of April 15, 2024. The purpose of this test is to assess the English language proficiency of all English Language Learners enrolled in grades K-12 in New York State schools. The Speaking portion of the test will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024. The Listening, Reading and Writing portion of the test will be administered May 14-16, 2024.
Please be advised that during the testing period, all cell phones and electronic devices will be prohibited in the classroom.
In addition, please ensure that your child is well rested and encourage them to do their best!
