Festival of the Arts: Tuesday June 3, 2025

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

 

One Tuesday June 3, I.S. 228 will be hosting the Festival of the Arts: David A Boody’s Big Apple Adventure. The Festival of the Arts encompasses the talents of our 6th and 7th grade in Orchestra, Band, Dance, Art 1 & 2, Digital Art, Media, Creative Writing and Musical Theater Magnets. Due to the high number of students that will be participating in the event, ticket sales will be limited to ensure that our Festival of the Arts is safe and successful for all of our students and families.  Tickets will be color coded for each event. 

Ticket Information

  • You must have the correct ticket to enter each session.
  • TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD at the door. 
  • Ticket sales will end May30 at 2:00 PM for ALL shows unless they are sold out before that date.    
  • Ticket sales will be on a first come first served basis.  These events can possibly sell out so please be mindful when purchasing tickets. 
  • All tickets can be purchased in room 113 during student lunch periods.  

 

ART SHOW:

(Families can choose 1 time slot for the Art Show)

  • 4:30pm-5:00pm
  • 5:00pm-5:30pm

TICKET SALES

Donation of $5 each ticket


Grey Ticket (4:30pm)

Yellow Ticket (5:00pm)


*Students must be accompanied by an adult to attend the Art Show.


Students in the arts magnets will receive a free student ticket to participate in the Art Show. 


Orange Ticket

Donation of $5 each (Each family can buy up to 2 tickets)


Blue Ticket 


*Students in Magnets will NOT need a ticket as they are in the performance. 



Please see below for the return time and details for each magnet.

Musical Theater: 4:30 PM Arrival

  • Students should arrive dressed in FOA shirt and black pants. Mr. Piccinonno will review hair and makeup details before the performance.

 

Dance Magnet: 4:30 PM Arrival

 

  • Hair and makeup should already be completed and ready to go. Ms. Grier and Ms. Harmon will review hair and makeup details with students prior to the performance.

 

Orchestra & Band Magnet: 4:30 PM Arrival

  • Students should arrive dressed in All Black Formal Attire.
