Dear Parent or Guardian,
As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to share important information regarding the return of DOE-issued devices and Yondr pouches.
Grade 8: Laptop Collection Notice
Our records in the Device Hub indicate that your 8th-grade child has been issued a DOE device by IS 228.
Please note that all devices provided by the New York City Department of Education (DOE) are the property of the DOE and must be returned to IS 228 prior to graduation.
This includes any DOE-issued devices, even those received from previous schools.
All devices must be returned no later than June 23, 2025.
Failure to return an outstanding device by this date may impact your child’s ability to receive a new device upon entering high school.
All Grades: Yondr Pouch Collection
8th Grade: no later than June 23, 2025
6th & 7th Grade: June 24, 2025
All students are required to return their Yondr pouches during the last week of school.
Each student is responsible for returning one pouch.
Please note:
•There is a $30 replacement fee for any missing or unreturned pouch.
