SCHOOL COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL PLAN

 

Instructional Focus: 

Our 2025-2026 instructional focus is to prioritize literacy instruction across all content areas by implementing direct, explicit instruction strategies that enhance accessibility and comprehension for all learners, aligning with NYC Reads Shift 7 to empower students as confident, critical readers in every subject.

 

Priority 1 – All students learn to read well

By June, 2026, literacy for All Students will improve, as measured by a 10% Increase, from 53% to 63% on the I Ready reading diagnostics.

Priority 2 – All students are physically and emotionally safe

By June, 2026, physical and mental wellness for All Students will improve, as measured by a 5% Increase, in percentage of students who feel bullying is prevented in our school from 55% to 60%, per the NYC School Survey Results.

Priority 3 – All students have a high-quality academic experience

By June, 2026, the students will be on or above grade level will Increase by 8% from 68 to 75, for All Students, as measured by I-Ready Math Results.

Priority 4 – All students graduate college and career ready and have a strong plan and pathway to economic security

By June, 2026, the percentage of students who felt challenged in most/all of their classes for All Students will Increase by 10% from 41% to 51% as measured by NYC School Survey Results.

Priority 5 – All districts and schools are more inclusive and responsive for parents and families, including having more families choose NYC Public Schools

By June, 2026, the percentage of parents/families attending school meetings, events, or PTC will Increase by 10% from 80% to 90% as measured by NYC School Survey Results.
