For example, I have always wanted to visit this super cool looking resort in Jamaica (https://www.rockhouse.com/). So, if I was working on this assignment I would make an advertisement about taking a summer vacation to the Rock House resort.

MY ADVERTISEMENT WOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
- This is to be done in CANVA. You can use any template or start your project from scratch.
- The name of the country, resort, or town I am visiting
- Pictures
- Amenities (These are things the hotel OFFERS). For example, at Rock House their amenities include a spa, a pool, and a restaurant!
- Cost (How much does it cost to stay there for 1 week? What is included in your stay?)
- A Slogan
- Star rating

If you are having trouble, google some hotels and look at what they list on their website.

I would then add any information, ratings, or photos I found online.

- What can you buy there?

Today you will design an advertisement to boost tourism in your neighborhood. Tourism is when people take vacations or visit different places they are interested in. Before the pandemic New York City had a HUGE amount of tourism. For this project, you will find out what neighborhood you live in (for example, IS 228 is in Gravesend Brooklyn) and create a promotional poster to encourage tourists to visit. If you do not want to use your neighborhood you can use the borough of Brooklyn.

Project is to be done in CANVA. You can use any template or start your project from scratch. The project must include:
- The name of your neighborhood or borough
- A slogan
- Interesting facts of WHY people would want to visit. Some examples could be, a great restaurant, cute dogs, a playground, park, etc.

Helpful hint:
- Google tourism websites so you have an idea of what information they believe is important for their customers to know.
- Google your neighborhood, what is it known for?
