Description

In Sports Management Magnet, we introduce students to multiple sports and dive deep into the rules and regulations pertaining to each sport. Team building/bonding sports games are mainly focused throughout the entirety of the year. Creativity plays a huge factor in this magnet, where students will be asked to use their imagination in designing their own sportswear items(logo, brands, clothing, etc). Students will also learn how to manage a team by using sports knowledge and strategic decision making. By the end of the 3 year program, students will have a better understanding of sports and team play.

Grade 6 Topics

This magnet provides students with the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive program consisting of skill development, team sports, and physical fitness activities. The program as a whole, promotes the spirit of cooperation, leadership, fair play, and friendly competition.

Grade 7 Topics

This magnet will go more in depth with certain sports and allow students to discover which sport they like most. Students will have the opportunity to manage their own team and compete with other students in the classroom. This magnet will allow students to become more involved in competition and sports awareness.

Grade 8 Topics

This magnet will prepare students for high school who would like to play or be involved in sports. Emphasizing on sportsmanship will be key in this grade as students prepare for high school. Competition will be increased as well, to allow students to overcome any obstacles they have.
